WALK CASHIERS is a collaboration between the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce, Jackson County and Vision Cashiers. This initiative will transform Cashiers into a walkable community and build a five-mile network of pathways, boardwalks, sidewalks and community spaces.

Called the Cashiers Greenway Ramble, it will connect residents and visitors to the core of Cashiers, “bringing us together.”

WALK CASHIERS will make Cashiers a “smart village” with fiber internet and down lighting throughout the trail system.

 

The Urban Land Institute concluded in their study that walkability and connectivity are critical to preserving Cashiers’ unique character and charm. Equinox Environmental has recommended a design that will preserve the natural beauty of Cashiers while increasing livability.
